Northwest Bible Church

|2||ALERT Ministries||Dallas||Incarceration||youth in juvenile detention||ALERT Ministries is looking for students to volunteer with Art Class to the kids in the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center once a week and our Computer Coding Class to youth at Old Settlers Recreation Center in McKinney.
Looking for men and women volunteers 21 years or older who have a heart for incarcerated youth in Dallas. We are loving on boys and girls by teaching them the basics of art, both to see a creative project through to completion, but to also learn new and healthy ways to express emotion. We need seminary students who want to walk alongside the youth in juvenile detention by giving these boys and girls attention, encouragement, and respect through the simple gesture of a listening ear. We meet on Saturdays from 10am-12pm.
Computer Coding Class
Looking for male and female college students to assist in teaching youth in McKinney to code robots in preparation for a Robot Wars competition. Must have basic knowledge of computer coding.
Requirements for Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center:
- Attend a Dallas County Background Check
- Finger printing
- Signed Statement of Faith
- Signed Sexual Purity Agreement
- Signed Doctrinal Protection Policy,
- Must commit to 6-8 weeks of the program.
Requirements for Old Settler’s Recreation Center in McKinney:
Adults (18 years and older, including students)

-Color Copy of Drivers License
Students (17 years and under)
