An announced fire and evacuation drill was performed on the DTS Houston campus on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm. One class was in session in Room 133. Impact Fire Services sounded the alarm and the class evacuated in an orderly fashion to the median in the back parking lot. Employees evacuated to the driveway at the front of the building. All persons from the DTS space were clear of the building within 3 minutes. Staff members checked the classrooms, library and administrative offices. Because we are now in a multi-tenant building, all tenants were evacuated during the drill and Impact Fire Services personnel checked the non-DTS tenant spaces. All students, staff and faculty (and all other tenants) were permitted to re-enter the building at 2:09 pm.
