Mount Hermon 70th Annual Bible Conference and Family Camp
August 11-17, 2019
Each summer, Dallas Theological Seminary partners with Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center to offer a week-long family camp in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. Inter-generational worship services, in-depth Bible studies, and an array of recreational activities give families the opportunity to worship, study, and relax together.
Dr. Mark L. Bailey
Dr. Bailey assumed the Seminary’s presidency after years of service as both a professor in the Bible Exposition department and as the Vice President for Academic Affairs. In addition to his years at Dallas Theological Seminary, he has pastored various churches in Arizona and Texas. He was a seminar instructor for Walk Thru the Bible Ministries for twenty years and is in demand for Bible conferences and other preaching engagements. His overseas ministries have included Venezuela, Argentina, Hungary, and China. He is also a regular tour leader in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, and Rome. His board service includes Bible Study Fellowship, Insight for Living, Jews for Jesus, and Walk Thru the Bible Ministries.
Dr. Barry Jones
Dr. Jones serves as an adjunct faculty member at Dallas Theological Seminary in the Pastoral Ministries department teaching Expository Preaching I. Over the years, Barry has served in a variety of ministry capacities including time as a youth pastor, a camp and retreat speaker, and an interim teaching pastor. His scholarly interests include the theology and history of Christian spirituality as well as issues in spiritual formation and leadership in contemporary culture. In 2018, Barry accepted the position of senior pastor at Irving Bible Church, Irving, TX. He also has authored Dwell: Life with God for the World. Barry is married to Kim, and together they have two sons, Will and Pierson, and a daughter, Kathleen.
Dr. Jonathan Murphy
Dr. Murphy serves as an Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministries at Dallas Theological Seminary. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he was raised in the Canary Islands, Spain. Jonathan was educated in Northern Ireland, Edinburgh (Scotland), and Dallas, Texas! Such cross-cultural exposure has nurtured a diverse range of interests from cheering for Ulster in rugby and Spain in soccer to enjoying all things related to history and a love for God’s people all over the world. Jonathan pastored in Northern Ireland before joining the seminary. His heart beats to encourage and shape leaders for the local church worldwide. He and his wife, Sarah Jane, have four children.
Dr. Mark Yarbrough
Dr. Yarbrough serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs, Academic Dean, and Associate Professor of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary, overseeing all Seminary activities related to academics and public representation. Mark’s twin passions for the local church and theological education have worked in tandem for over twenty-five years. Along with his responsibilities at DTS, he serves as an elder of Centerpoint Church in Mesquite and travels extensively leading tours and speaking at conference centers. Mark has recently authored How to Read the Bible Like a Seminary Professor. He has been married for twenty-seven years to Jennifer, his high school sweetheart. They have four children and an energetic puppy named Ranger, and reside in Forney, Texas.
The son of missionary parents, Steve was raised in South America. Steve celebrates 34 years in the Christian music industry. With over 40 recordings to his credit, including children’s projects and Spanish-language albums, Green has sold over 3 million albums worldwide. He has been able to communicate the gospel in almost 50 countries around the world. Steve and his wife, Marijean, have been married for 39 years.
