Greetings from “H-Town” and welcome to the Team Admissions page! I’m delighted to walk with you as you discern whether DTS is the right seminary for you. Moving from my family, job, and home in Atlanta, GA, to pursue a Masters of Theology degree sounded silly to many and frightening to me, but it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As each semester passes, I continue to be astonished by the quality of biblically-sound education and rich community afforded to me through the seminary. I wouldn’t trade my time at DTS for anything!

So far, my experience has been marked by dynamic instruction, transformational spiritual formation, and enriching relationships. Among these qualities, one aspect of our seminary that I appreciate is the diversity of thought exhibited by the professors and student body. Although, we each maintain the same core doctrines, DTS provides a safe place for students to voice their unique opinions and even grapple with their doubts. In our common pursuit to, “teach truth and love well,” there is space to wrestle with our questions and experiences in community so that when we do wrestle, we wrestle together. My time at DTS has not only given me the tools to rightly think about the Triune God, but it has also given me the framework to rightly think about others.

Choosing to move away from everything that I knew and loved to live in Texas and study at a school where I knew no one was the most difficult decision I’ve ever made. It happens to also be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m constantly humbled by how God has used Dallas Theological Seminary to revolutionize my understanding of the Scriptures and to radically transform my walk with Christ. If He can do that for me, I’m confident that He can do that and more for you!
