Vice President for Communications and Community; Director of Presidential Initiatives; Adjunct Professor in Theological Studies
Since 2005, Josh Winn has served at DTS in the Communications department, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Office of the President (OOP). In his current roles, he helps the seminary develop and implement cohesive communication strategies that strengthen the seminary’s mission, identity, and community. In addition, Josh oversees a wide range of initiatives out of the OOP, helps coordinate aspects of the Seminary’s strategic planning, and serves as an extension of the president to various seminary constituents.
Josh is active in theological education, preaching, the church, and missions. In addition to a BS in Speech Communication (Northern Arizona University), he holds a ThM and PhD in Theological Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. His research interests include the history of biblical interpretation, bibliology, history and philosophy of science, communication theory, and theological method.
Being known by the Triune God is the highlight of Josh’s life. Period. But after that, it is most certainly being husband to Ariella and father to their four young-adult children—Eden, Ruby, Judah, and Asher. They enjoy serving the Lord together from Rowlett, Texas, where they live.
