Dr. Dagher has served as a pastor in Lebanon and as Director of the Christian Alliance Institute of Theology in Beirut, where he also was a professor. He taught courses in theology, biblical studies, and biblical Hebrew. In addition to his academic work, he led churches, developed elders, and served on leadership committees for the Evangelical Churches of Syria and Lebanon.
His passion is equipping Christian leaders to rightly handle the word of God in preaching and teaching. He leads Dallas Theological Seminary's Arabic program with the goal of making its training accessible to Arabic-speaking pastors and leaders around the world.
In addition to teaching biblical Hebrew, his research interests are in comparative studies of Biblical Hebrew and Arabic language, as well as in the biblical theology of violence with focus on the concept of sacred war in the Old Testament.
Dr. Dagher and his wife, Anna, are parents to Mark, Michael, and Nicole. They live in Crandall, Texas and enjoy fellowshipping with other Christians, sharing the gospel, and supporting existing Arabic outreach ministries.
عَمِل د. ميلاد داغر راعياً في لبنان ومديراً لمعهد الاتحاد المسيحي اللاهوتي في بيروت، حيث قام بتدريس مساقات في علم اللاهوت النظامي والدراسات الكتابيّة ولغة الكتاب المقدّس العبريّة. بالإضافة إلى عمله الأكاديمي، قاد كنائس ودرّب شيوخًا وخدم في لجان قيادة الكنائس الإنجيلية في سورية ولبنان. رسالته هي تجهيز القادة المسيحيين لتفسير كلمة الله بالاستقامة بهدف الوعظ والتعليم بالحقّ. وهو يقود برنامج اللغة العربيّة في كليّة دالاس للدراسات اللاهوتيّة. يهدف هذا البرنامج إلى توفير فرص التدريب اللاهوتي للرعاة والخدّام الناطقين بالعربيّة في جميع أنحاء العالم.
بالإضافة إلى تدريس اللغة العبريّة الكتابيّة، تتركز اهتماماته البحثيّة على الدراسات المُقارنة بين اللغة العبريّة الكتابيّة واللغة العربيّة وحول مفهوم العُنف في الكتاب المقدّس بالأخصّ الحروب المقدّسة في العهد القديم. يسكن د. ميلاد داغر وزوجته آنا في كراندال، تكساس. وهما والدان لمارك ومايكل ونيكول. يستمتِعان بالشركة مع الآخرين ومشاركة الإنجيل ودعم الخدمات الكنسيّة الناطقة بالعربيّة.
