Voltaire Cacal

Voltaire is a Gen 1.5 Filipino-American, born in Bacarra, a province of the northern region of the Philippines called Ilocos Norte, and reared in the San Francisco Bay Area with his parents who immigrated to the United States. In 2001, Voltaire left a lucrative career in telecom and served as the English Pastor for a Chinese church, Missions Pastor for a Filipino church, and worked with various other churches who minister with different ethnic groups from North America, South America, Asia, Europe, and Africa. Voltaire has served as the International Director for RREACH with Dr. Ramesh Richard, a Leadership Fellow in the Dr. Howard Hendricks Center for Christian Leadership, and Sr. Director of Global Strategies & Partnership Development for Camino Global (originally known as Central American Mission). Voltaire serves as Vice-Chair of the Ethnic America Network and Chairman of the Board for Be One Together.

Voltaire has a passion for discipleship in walking alongside other disciples of Christ as lifelong learners. He enjoys traveling, cooking (and eating), photography, SCUBA diving, building things around the house, and working on cars with his daughters. If you ever want to get together with him, mention coffee/tea, food, or ice cream. He is blessed to be married to Cristina from Manila, Philippines, and they have three daughters, Charis, Keanna, and Kaitlynn. Voltaire has a heart for intercultural, multiethnic, and cross-generational growth among and between local churches here in the U.S. and worldwide.
