Christar Lunch – Religious Crackdown in China
April 4, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
During 2018, China instituted a massive, nationwide crackdown on house churches and foreign missionaries. House churches across the country faced increased scrutiny to levels not seen in over thirty years. Hundreds of foreign missionaries were detained and deported. A missionary who spent significant time that year with many house church pastors and network leaders, will join us to give an overview of the nature of these new government restrictions and how this crackdown has affected house churches across the country – as well as foreign missionaries serving in China. He will also discuss how his team has partnered with several house church networks in the midst of this to plant churches amongst unreached people groups in southwest China.
