ILSP Graduate Stories

Ejin Cho, ILSP 2011

“My professor in South Korea mentioned that there are people groups in the world who still do not have a Bible in their own language. I could not shake his comment and made an appointment with my professor. After our discussion, I joined Global Bible Translators (the sending Agency and ancillary arm of Wycliffe.) The Lord has since given me the opportunity to translate a Bible Commentary into the Korean language which has been published by Zondervan. I also met my husband in the Bible translation track at Dallas Seminary. Win Win!”

Neil Allan Ty, ILSP 2011

“I was the Senior Pastor of Christian Agape Fellowship Church and directed a non-profit ministry bridging business professionals to local churches in Asia. Since studying at DTS, I now work in facilities to provide for my wife and two children. It is humbling sweeping and being a “janitor,” but I am so grateful to have work and I know that God is teaching me and preparing me for a ministry as a servant as well as a pastor and professor in the Philippines. So, I’m a pastor, janitor, and soon-to-be PhD!”

Maria Lawrance, ILSP 2011

Maria is serving in tribal North India with rural pastors who are reaching the unreached, concentrating on the Ho people group. She and her husband are church planting in an undisclosed city and training lay leaders and working through Orality methods with women and children. They find a great need for expositional teaching and preaching and thank God for the training they both received at DTS.
