James Adams

Adjunct Professor for Doctor of Ministry Studies; Coordinator for Spanish Doctor of Ministry

Dr. Adams has served as a missionary with Camino Global for 23 years, working primarily in the countries of El Salvador and Guatemala in the areas of pastoral ministry and theological education. He taught at the Central American Theological Seminary (SETECA) in Guatemala City for 12 years in the areas of Spiritual Formation, Conflict Resolution, and Christian Leadership, concurrently serving as Rector (president) for seven years (2006–12).

As part of his responsibilities with DTS en Español, Jim is the director of the SETECA Extension on the DTS Campus and founder of the REDIL network which links Hispanic leaders and churches in the DFW area. He and his wife Jenny, an MK from Guatemala, have two sons, Caleb (born in Argentina) and Nathan (born in El Salvador).
