Hi there! Thank you for stopping by! I am thrilled you are considering seminary with DTS. If you are like I was when I was considering seminary, you have a lot of questions. That is exactly what I am here for! As an admissions telecounselor, I get to speak with prospective students, answering questions and offering guidance. If you are considering seminary with us and have questions (and I’m sure that you do!) or would like guidance as you consider your next steps with us, I would love to chat with you. Whether you want to know if seminary is right for you, what degree programs would benefit you, or anything in between, it would be my privilege to help in any way that I can.
I appreciate so many things about DTS, but the thing I appreciate the most is its commitment to the Word and teaching it well. This appreciation began when I first began learning about DTS and it has only grown since I have been a student here. When I applied, I knew that DTS was the place I wanted to be when I discovered that DTS is strongly committed to Scripture. First, I saw the phrase that DTS is so well known for: “Teach Truth. Love Well.” Second, I found out that DTS teaches its students all 66 books of the Bible. Since starting classes, I have found DTS’s commitment to God’s Word to be even more evident. I have been taught by professors who want the truths that they teach me to transform my life. I have begun to study Scripture in depth, and that study is absolutely thrilling. My time at DTS studying the Word under top-notch, yet humble professors has been more transformative than I dared to dream it would be.
When I was younger, I never expected to be the person in my family who lived furthest from home. I never expected to be pursuing a four year Master’s degree after completing four years of undergrad. Looking back though, I can only say that God is so faithful. He has taken care of me and has provided for me in ways that I thought I would only see him work in other people’s lives. If he is calling you to be here at DTS, he will do the same for you throughout the entire process. As you consider whether or not you are being called to DTS, please do not hesitate to give me a call!
