The Postgraduate Certificate provides advanced, focused study for master’s graduates seeking further academic or ministry specialization.

The PGC allows master’s graduates to pursue 12 hours of advanced coursework in selected areas such as apologetics, biblical languages, missiology, counseling, pastoral care, and other ministry disciplines. Courses are available in person or online, including asynchronous and live remote formats, offering flexibility for those continuing in ministry or professional roles. Each certificate enables targeted academic growth without committing to an additional degree program.
Admission to the Postgraduate Certificate requires the completion of a master’s degree in ministry or theology from an accredited seminary or graduate school. Those who have earned a master’s degree or higher from Dallas Theological Seminary are eligible for a simplified admissions application. Alumni who have completed a master’s degree of at least 60 hours are eligible to receive a special alumni tuition rate. Admission requirements for those with degrees from schools other than DTS are the same as for all programs of study at the seminary. All applicants must have completed their previous seminary training more than two years prior.
Alumni who have completed a master’s degree of at least 60 hours are eligible to receive a special alumni tuition rate ($250/hour). Alumni in good standing are eligible to use a shortened application form. Alumni can complete up to two Postgraduate Certificates at the alumni rate. Postgraduate Certificates are intended for those who have been in the field for at least two years.
