Distance & Online

You don’t have to uproot to attend seminary. DTS has fully online programs designed to immerse you in the Gospel story in all 66 books of the Bible and prepare you to serve wherever God calls you.

Class Formats

In-Person

Traditional semester-length daytime and evening courses at our Dallas and Houston campuses entail one or two class sessions each week. The Dallas campus also hosts winter and summer intensive courses that meet for one or two weeks.

Hybrid

At nearly all our locations, we offer a variety of two-to three-day weekend courses supplemented by online coursework before and after the in-person sessions.

Online Hybrid

These courses meet weekly through videoconferencing, just like a traditional class. You'll either join a live classroom with campus-based students or meet directly with all online students.

This offers rich dialogue and interaction without moving across the world.

Online Recorded

These courses are composed primarily of lectures recorded in live classroom settings.

You can access them whenever is most convenient for you. Professors also offer several live sessions throughout the semester, where you can ask questions and interact with classmates.
