

Vice President for Advancement

Dr. Moreton has served in Christian higher education as a fundraiser and adjunct instructor for over 25 years and joins the seminary having recently served as Executive Director of Advancement and Communications at The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM). She has served on the Advancement Commission for the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities and is a Certified Fundraising Executive. While a love for college students originally propelled her higher education career, it quickly transformed into connecting others with meaningful opportunities to give generously. Dr. Moreton credits the seminary with significantly shaping her ministry and professional path.
Dr. Moreton holds a Bachelor of Music from Texas Christian University, a Master of Arts from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy from University of North Texas.
Dr. Moreton has been married to Sam, also a DTS graduate, for 33 years, and they have four children and one son-in-law: Asher, Ava & husband Isaac, Brock, and Scarlett. They enjoy hiking, their two Maine Coon cats, music, and indulging in authentic Tex-Mex cuisine. A classically trained musician, Dr. Moreton is currently learning to play the cello.
