Dr. Estep has over forty years of educational ministry experience in churches, parachurch organizations, and institutions of higher education. He is the cofounder and the Texas Regional Coach for e:2 effective elders, a ministry dedicated to equipping church leaders to lead effectively. He is also a popular conference and seminar presenter and an avid author with numerous books, chapters, and articles to his credit. Dr. Estep’s research and teaching interests include the history and philosophy of Christian education, adult discipleship and education in the church, and equipping leaders to serve. He also enjoys travel and used bookstores as well as good coffee and science fiction (particularly Star Trek). He is married to Dr. Karen Lynn Estep and has three adult children and four grandchildren.
