

Assistant Professor of Counseling Ministries

Dr. Freeman has a passion for counselor development and promoting personal insights and practices that lead to professional growth for students in the counseling profession. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Approved Supervisor. Prior to serving on the faculty at DTS, Dr. Freeman served in his local church in various leadership roles, maintained a private practice, was a clinical supervisor to beginning counselors in their licensing journey, and served on staff at a homeless recovery center working with the Dallas homeless population through many counseling and supervision opportunities. He and his wife, Kara, have lived in the Dallas area since 2008.
