Founded in 1924, our mission is, “to glorify God by equipping godly servant-leaders for the proclamation of His Word and the building up of the body of Christ worldwide.” Teach Truth. Love Well.
We’re glad you’re here
DTS is a community of men and women of different ages, denominations, ethnicities, countries of origin, and gifting, joined together by our common faith in the triune God and our common calling to make disciples wherever we go.
What makes DTS unique
We praise God that he has raised up so many wonderful seminaries with strengths — such as carrying on theological viewpoints or serving denominational needs — but we feel privileged that God’s direction for DTS is simply to equip students with the truth of the Bible, trusting it to change lives.
Rigorous, Biblical Education
DTS affirms that the seminary experience is foundationally a process of spiritual transformation, and at the center of that journey is the Triune God and his Word. That’s why every ministry degree program at DTS covers all 66 books of the Bible and devotes an entire semester to studying the Trinity, ensuring that learning is inseparable from growing in Christ and being conformed to his image.
A Diverse Community
Every year DTS faculty reaffirm a common doctrinal statement which means students never have to wonder about the perspective of those under whom they are studying. Yet the student body is a rich mosaic of men and women from over 70 denominations who benefit from one another’s diverse traditions, ages, ethnicities, and future ministry goals.
DTS values missions so highly that each spring an entire week of classes is canceled, just to give room for the annual World Evangelization Conference. Whether training pastors for the local church, developing leaders for the business sector, preparing Greek scholars, or equipping those tackling social justice initiatives, DTS remains steadfastly committed to the missional life.
