Vic Anderson

Prior to joining the DTS faculty, Dr. Anderson invested 15 years of service in cross-cultural theological education in Ethiopia. His concern for teaching across cultures motivated him to complete a PhD in Intercultural Education, focusing his research on preaching in rural Ethiopia.
Vic joined the DTS faculty in 2006, and besides his role as a professor has served DTS as Chair of the Department of Pastoral Ministries (twice) and as Director of PhD Studies.
Beyond DTS, Dr. Anderson maintains active ministry on a preaching team at his local church in Mesquite and at various churches and conferences. He and his wife, Cindy, have two adult children. As associate missionaries with Serving in Mission (SIM), they continue to minister in cross-cultural contexts each summer, usually inviting DTS students to join them in ministry.
