Why go to Seminary?
Dallas Theological Seminary is one of the nation’s oldest and most diverse seminaries.
Seminary is for you
One thing we have learned in the 95 years of teaching the Bible and theology to students at DTS is that many Christians hunger for Biblical knowledge and training, but often do not have the time or flexibility to attend seminary.
Seminary isn’t just for senior pastors. At DTS we believe that solid theological education and in-depth training in the Word of God is beneficial for ALL believers. Founded in 1924, Dallas Theological Seminary exists “to glorify God by equipping godly servant-leaders for the proclamation of His Word and the building up of the body of Christ worldwide.” In other words, we want to help men and women fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment, across the globe. “Teach Truth. Love Well.”
Seminary is flexible
Dallas Theological Seminary offers a wide variety of programs.
At DTS we believe that a solid biblical education, and deep training in the Word of God is beneficial for ALL believers, not just those called to full-time vocational ministry. That is why more working adults are taking seminary courses while simultaneously balancing their commitments of work, family and personal life.
What could God do through you if you had a deeper understanding of the Word? How might God use you at your work, in your home, or in your church? With our flexible format, broad online offerings, and weekend intensive formats, it is possible to complete a seminary degree without moving to Dallas. With 14+ degrees, chances are there is something for you.
What we believe
DTS faculty affirm our full doctrinal statement every year, while our diverse community of students are centered around these seven core doctrines of evangelical faith.
