Student Privacy in Distance Education

Dallas Theological Seminary is committed to protecting student privacy, regardless of the modality of the course in which a student is enrolled. Student privacy in online and distance education courses is protected through the use of secure user names and passwords and the seminary’s use of secure technologies and multi-factor identification to access those technologies. DTS personnel are required to follow FERPA guidelines for sharing student educational record information with faculty, staff, parents, or others outside of the seminary. All personnel have the additional responsibility to keep their Microsoft 365 account information secure by not sharing user name and password information with anyone.
